Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, Google has just sent out invitations for a major press event scheduled for October 4th. If the exact content of this conference is not very clear, it is likely to formalize its next generation smartphone. Rumors about Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are abundant. Here is a summary of the information concerning their prices, their characteristics or the design of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
The next generation Pixel, Google Pixel 3, is expected with some impatience. There are several reasons for this. Their launch will already close a year rich in new features with the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note 8, the iPhone 8 and many others. The second interest is in Google’s approach. Pixel, the first smartphone made in Google in partnership with HTC has suffered from production problems to the point of impacting its availability. For example, its marketing has been ignored in important markets.
Many hope that this second and third generation will rectify things. This range should be organized around two devices Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 3.
Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, features
The Pixel 3 will be the most accessible version with a good hardware configuration. It should rely on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 84x processor, an Adreno 540 graphics chip and 4 GB of RAM.
The storage would offer 32 or 128 GB. Google would have stalled on a MicroSD card reader. The equipment would feature a 12-megapixel camera, an 8-megapixel front camera and an IP53 shell for splash protection.
Power would be provided by a 2270 mAh battery. All this would be complemented by two front speakers, a fingerprint reader and a Type-C USB port. The dead end on the audio jack is possible.
Google would have provided several colors including red, blue and black. The smartphone would have a 5-inch OLED screen providing a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
For its part the Pixel 3 XL would opt for a bigger screen, a solution of 6 inches always OLED with a definition of 1440p of the 2560 x 1440 pixels. The mechanics would differ at the level of the storage with the absence of a declination in 32 GB. The battery would be more powerful with 3450 mAh.

If these two new ones have not yet been unveiled, several leaks have proposed different renditions. The trend is the adoption of a design that does not include all the “2017 standards” as an edgeless screen occupying virtually the entire surface of the smartphone.
The finish would however benefit from curved glass at the back also from the presence of the fingerprint reader.
Finally their announcement will be parallel to the launch of the next iteration of the Android operating system. Android 9 should therefore take control of these two smartphones.
